Rental Conditions
- A rack can be booked by contacting the staff of Muse of Style on our website www.museofstyle.com.au or visiting us in store.
- When making a booking we need to sign you up to our online booking system. This is where you are able to make your price tags, check your booking, keep an eye on your already sold items and update your personal information.
- A full payment of the rack must be made at least 2 weeks prior to your rental starting date. If you are unable to commence your already booked and paid rental you can postpone your booking. In case you need to cancel your booking or want to reschedule we require a minimum of 1 weeks notice. No refunds are issued with less than 1 weeks notice. If you need to postpone your rental with less than 1 weeks notice and a suitable customer can’t be found by the date your booking was supposed to start, we will reduce the postponed rental time by as many days as the rack has been empty without a new booking.
- Muse of Style provides all the coat hangers for your items. We concentrate on clothing items, shoes and bigger accessories.
- You’re welcome to come in every few days to refill your rack. You can follow your sales in our app.
- We recommend you do a 20% to 50% off sale on your rack for the last two days of your rental, however this is not compulsory. The sale must apply to all items left – a sale sign will be attached on your rack. Please advise us if you want to use this option.
- It is strictly forbidden to sell any furniture, bootleg items, adult entertainment, drugs, dangerous goods, weapons, plants or groceries. Muse of Style reserves the right to remove any unfit item from sale. The rack holder is fully responsible for any damages as a result of failure to comply to these conditions. Selling stolen items or someone else’s belongings is strictly forbidden. The rack holder must confirm they have the rights to the items brought for sale. Any malpractice we reserve the right to inform the police.
- You can price your items online which later gives you more detailed information about your sales. Price tags with barcode are printed for you in store. Our till is only able to read tags with barcode so it is absolutely necessary that all items have price tags created through our platform. You are able to keep track of your sold items online. The system updates itself every 10 minutes.
- The price tags must be well attached to each item. We cannot sell an item without a tag. If you wish to change the price of an item a new tag must be generated to update the system. Please see the staff for assistance.
- If we find an item without a price tag there is a specific basket where these items are put. Make sure you check it and claim any lost property when visiting us. Muse of Style stores these items for 2 weeks. After this time period these items become the property of Muse of Style.
- Muse of Style has a strict no return/exchange policy. We are not responsible for any faulty products. It is the rack holders responsibility to inform the buyers of any faults or defects in that particular items price tag.
- You can book a rack for as many weeks as you like with a minimum of two weeks. You are welcome to come and set up your rack first thing after we open. You can also set up your rack the day prior within the last hour of closing, but we need at least 2 days notice if you wish to do so.
- When your rack rental finishes you must empty your rack at least one hour before we close. It is possible for the staff of Muse of Style to pack up your rack for you if required, but you must inform us minimum 2 days prior. The price for this service is $40. In case the rack isn’t emptied by the time the rent finishes a $40 packing fee will be taken out of your sales. We store any unclaimed items for 2 weeks, after that if items are still unclaimed by the owner they become property of Muse of Style.
- Some of the items might accidentally travel from one rack to another, but staff do their best to return everything back to their own racks. This doesn’t mean these items won’t be on sale. As long as they are in the store someone is able to buy them and with your tag attached the profit goes to your account.
- In case we find more of your items after your finished rental we store them for 2 weeks. If we sell some of your forgotten/misplaced items after your rental is finished and we have already paid the money you made, it is your responsibility to claim these profits.
- We provide security tags for you to use free of charge. Muse of Style takes no responsibility for stolen or lost property but we do our best for this not to happen. All witnessed cases of theft in store are reported to police. We take no responsibility for the damage of your items in case of a fire, water damage, burglary, vandalism or any other factor undependable on us.
- Muse of Style reserves the right to tidy your stall within your rack rental period.
- By signing the agreement rack holder gives permission to Muse of Style to post photos and/or videos in our social media pages of items on sale. This might be very beneficial to your sales.
- It is strictly forbidden to attach your own shelves, baskets, racks or any additional parts to your rack. You must only use the space, racks and shelves provided by Muse of Style.
- For fire safety reasons it is forbidden to leave any items on the floor or in front of emergency exits. When you bring your items in please do not leave any of your boxes or transporting bags in the store. We reserve the right to remove and dispose anything we find unnecessary.
- We will pay your profits to your nominated bank account within 7 days after your rack rental finishes. A valid ID must be presented at the time of your final account.
- Should you wish to cancel the rack rental before it is finished, we pay the profits you’ve made so far, but no refunds of the unused rent is issued. We retain any unclaimed profits for 2 weeks.
- At our full discretion, Muse of Style may offer the sellers an option of donating any items that remain unsold after the rental period to our “Charity Rack”. The charity rack goal is to ensure that no garments end up in landfill, and all garments find a new loving home. The items on the charity rack are sold at a substantial discount, and the proceeds are donated to charities chosen by Muse of Style.
- A luxury cabinet is for luxury valuables you wish to sell however keep out of access. Possible buyers will need permission from staff for access as they are locked.
- These items must be small enough accessories to fit in the cabinet (shoes, bags, purses, watches. We take max 3 items per owner at a time for sale.
- By signing a rack rental agreement, you agree with our terms and conditions. Muse of Style reserves the right to change our T&C’s at any time.
